The बेटियों (Daughters) Fundraiser Exhibition (26.10.2024 Amsterdam), organized by The Blue House Project in collaboration with photographer and director Nastassia Winge, presents a poignant visual journey from Pushkar, Rajasthan. Captured during a recent visit in January 2024, the exhibition offers an intimate portrayal of Dilip, his family, and their community as they navigate the challenges of caste-related poverty.
Curated by Nastassia, her photographs vividly depict the resilience and strength of Dilip’s family against the backdrop of the Rajasthani desert. Through her lens, the exhibition brings to life the beauty and struggles of a community striving for a better future. Each image highlights the human stories behind the statistics, emphasizing the urgent need for awareness, solidarity, and action.
A key feature of the event was the screening of the short documentary बेटियों (Daughters), which provides a closer look at Dilip’s journey. Shaped by his own experiences of child marriage and poverty, Dilip dreams of a brighter future for his six daughters. The film captures his determination to change their destiny, offering a raw and honest perspective on the consequences of deeply rooted societal issues. The documentary, which is Nastassia's debut documentary, is now being submitted to the festival circulation.
